For May 2020 I had a little daily project in which I would take a post it note and draw a weird little face with my eyes closed. I was always entertained by what I discovered from the exercise. Here are the faces.
 It's pretty cool what you can do with some Q-tips, some watercolor paint and some time. Here's a page from my 8 year old's sketchbook - we made a lot of dots and a few smiley faces.

It'd been awhile since I had created a larger drawing of a character. I think I'll make more.
