Here's a look at a few of my blind contour drawing rounds. If you're not familiar with the term, blind contour requires not looking at your paper or what you're drawing but only looking at your subject.
This method of drawing is challenging but rewarding. I heard someone say once that you haven't really seen something until you've drawn it. Blind contour requires you to focus intently on every subtle detail and nuance of your subject.
This assignment had us working with a live model - big thanks to my buddy Roger. I felt my drawing hit its prime at the first few rounds but then it got over cooked at the end. Oh well. Everything is an experiment.
